Motivated by nature's variety of various shapes, values and patterns, Valérie produces watercolor paintings at home from photos or in plein-air and lately, enjoys eco printing, the art of using plants to imprint on paper. Whether it is landscapes, florals or eco prints she likes vibrant colors.

Valérie is a member of the Fredericton Society of Artists and the Pinellas Park Art Society (Florida). She feels fortunate in being able to develop and show her art in different venues.

Being a self taught artist is challenging. Valérie attends as many workshops as possible to perfect her art. This past winter, in Florida, she attended two workshops that is helping to shape her direction: Jean Haines from England and Tom Lynch, an American watercolorist. At home in the Maritimes, Poppy Balser is always a favorite!

Valérie, originally from The Acadian Peninsula, resides in Fredericton.
