Wendell Collicott Wendell was born in Canterbury, NB. He graduated from Southampton Regional High School and Vocational Teacher Training at the NB Technical Institute in Moncton. He is also a graduate of Bradley University in Illinois and the University of Maine, in Industrial Education. He attended the University of London Institute of Education on a Beaverbrook Overseas Scholarship. Wendell, his wife and two sons live in Fredericton. He is essentially a self-taught artist; however, his interest in drawing developed as a result of teaching drafting and design at Fredericton High School. He is a member of The Fredericton Society of Artists and has painted for many years with the local Turps Club. He has attended watercolour workshops with Robert Percival, Jack Reid and others. Wendell's speciality is capturing in watercolour the character of New Brunswick, it's scenery, river valleys, buildings and seascapes along the Bay of Fundy.
